Refund Policy - The Basics 

1. Return Window

  • Return Period: 7 days from the date of delivery

  • Exchange Period: 7 days from the date of delivery

  • Notification Required: You must initiate the return/exchange process within the specified timeframe by contacting our customer service team

2. Eligible Items for Return/Exchange
Products Eligible for Return:

  • Unused, unworn, and unwashed items

  • Products with original tags and labels intact

  • Items in original packaging (if applicable)

  • Products without any alterations or modifications

  • Items that show no signs of wear, damage, or staining

Products NOT Eligible for Return:

  • Custom-made or personalized items (made to specific measurements or design requests)

  • Altered or tailored products (any modifications done after purchase)

  • Products damaged due to misuse or improper care

  • Items washed or worn showing signs of use

  • Products with removed tags or labels

  • Sale/clearance items (unless defective)

  • Intimate wear or undergarments for hygiene reasons

3. Condition Requirements
All returned items must meet the following criteria:

  • Original Condition: Products must be in the same condition as when delivered

  • Packaging: Items should be returned in original packaging when provided

  • Accessories: All accessories, tags, and documentation must be included

  • Hygiene Standards: Products must be free from perfume, deodorant, makeup, or other personal residues

4. Return Process
Step 1: Initiate Return Request

  • Contact our customer service team within 7 days of delivery

  • Provide order number, product details, and reason for return

  • Upload clear photos of the product (if requested)

Step 2: Return Authorization

  • We will review your request and provide return authorization

  • You will receive return instructions and shipping address

  • A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number will be provided

Step 3: Ship the Product

  • Pack the item securely in original packaging

  • Include the RMA number clearly marked on the package

  • Use a trackable shipping method

  • Return shipping costs are borne by the customer (unless product is defective)

Step 4: Processing

  • We will inspect the returned item within 2-3 business days of receipt

  • Refund will be processed if the item meets return criteria

5. Refund Processing
Timeline

  • Inspection: 2-3 business days after we receive the returned item

  • Refund Processing: 7-10 business days after approval

  • Bank Processing: Additional 3-5 business days depending on your bank

Refund Method

  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used for purchase

  • Cash on Delivery orders: Refund via bank transfer (bank details required)

  • UPI/Digital Wallet: Refund to the same digital payment method

  • Credit/Debit Card: Refund to the original card used

Refund Amount

  • Full refund of product price (excluding shipping charges)

  • Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the product is defective

  • Return shipping costs are deducted from refund (unless product is defective)

6. Exchange Policy
Exchange Process

  • Follow the same process as returns (Steps 1-3)

  • Specify the desired replacement item (size, color, design)

  • Exchange shipping: Customer bears return shipping; we cover forward shipping

Exchange Conditions

  • Exchange is subject to product availability

  • Price differences: If the new item costs more, you pay the difference; if less, we refund the difference

  • Same product category: Exchanges are typically within the same product type

7. Defective or Damaged Products
Our Responsibility
If you receive a defective, damaged, or incorrect product:

  • Full refund including original shipping charges

  • Free return shipping (we provide prepaid return label)

  • Priority processing within 24-48 hours

  • Replacement option with expedited shipping at no cost

Reporting Timeline

  • Report defective/damaged products within 48 hours of delivery

  • Provide clear photos showing the defect or damage

  • Include order details and product information

8. Quality Assurance
Handcrafted Nature

  • Our batik products are handcrafted and artisanal

  • Slight variations in color, pattern, or texture are natural characteristics

  • Minor imperfections inherent to handmade products are not considered defects

  • Color variations due to monitor display differences are not grounds for return

What We Consider Defects

  • Manufacturing flaws: Poor stitching, fabric tears, or construction issues

  • Significant color bleeding or printing errors

  • Wrong product sent (different from what was ordered)

  • Size discrepancy beyond acceptable tolerance

9. Special Circumstances
Festival/Wedding Orders

  • Rush orders for festivals or weddings have limited return options

  • Custom timing requests may have different return windows

  • Expedited shipping costs are non-refundable

International Orders

  • Return shipping costs for international orders are significantly higher

  • Customs duties on returns are customer's responsibility

  • Extended processing time due to international shipping
